Superman

A certain amount of gloom in the Kilburn mansion tonight, thanks to a bit of a beating from Aston Villa. Bluddy crime though. Villa wouldn't look so smart if we hadn't got Sonko sent off for essentially tripping over at half-time. Harumph. Anyway better get used to the ups and downs of this Premiership lark, otherwise will spend rather too much of the next nine months feeling crapola.

Actually had a rather pleasant evening, before learning the score. Courtesy of a bit of "misdirected" mail Shaggy got hold of an invite to the new Habitat winter catalogue opening. Would usually think of many a better thing to do than browse nobby furniture stores, looking at nobby things I can't afford - oh darling isn't that lime green bowl with balls in just deevine - but when there are free cocktails and canapes on offer try keeping me away. Not even witch-like store assistants, who can spot a non-wongaful intruder at twenty-paces, could stop me - oh no! It also gave me a chance to peruse the big music store down the road and impulse purchase myself "Rogues Gallery - Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs and Chanteys". Having listened to a few songs, it certainly sounds like they were recorded whilst drunk, but that leads me to trust the authenticy of the venture. Madame Damo, with her reknowned love of all things piratical, would no doubt appreciate it...
